SSC JE Syllabus & Exam Pattern 2024:
Every aspirant should acquaint themselves with the exam pattern before commencing their preparation. Understanding the exam pattern beforehand will enhance candidates’ comprehension, especially when they refer to the syllabus later on. We have also included the selection process of SSC JE exam.
Selection Procedure:
SSC Junior Engineer selection involves three steps as follows.
- Paper-I – Online Exam (involves Multiple choice questions).
- Paper-II – Descriptive Test
- Document Verification
SSC JE Paper-I Exam Pattern 2024:
SSC JE Paper I exam will be conducted online. Paper I consist of 3 sections namely General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, General Engineering (Civil and Structural), (Electrical & Mechanical). Each question carries 1 mark and for each wrong answer 0.25 get reduced. The paper consists of 200 questions with a duration of 2 hours.

SSC JE Paper-II Exam Pattern 2024:
Candidates who qualified in the paper-I will be able to attend the descriptive test. Qualified candidates can refer the SSC Junior Engineer Paper-II exam pattern. This paper consists of three parts. The exams will be conducted only in a particular field that the candidates applied. The Paper-II is conducted for 300 marks with a duration of 2 hours.
