Age limit (as on 30/09/2022):

Candidates must be under the following age limit in order to be considered for the positions. The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST category and 3 years for OBC (Non-creamy layer) category. Departmental candidates (employees of SAIL) will be given a relaxation of 10 years.

Educational Qualification:

1. Assistant Manager (Safety)

  • B.E./B.Tech. in any branch with 2 years of working experience.
  • PG Degree / Diploma in Industrial Safety.
  • Knowledge in Odia language.

2. Non-Executive Posts

  • Candidates must have completed Matriculation with 03 years Diploma in relevant field.
  • One year experience is required for Mining Mate, Fireman-cum-Fire Engine Driver (Trainee) and Surveyor posts.

3. Fire Operator (Trainee)

  • Any Graduate Degree with 03 years Diploma in relevant fields.

Selection Process:

The selection will be based on

  1. Computer Based Test
  2. Skill Test / Trade Test
  3. Interview

Fire Operator (Trainee) and Fireman-cum-Fire Engine Driver (Trainee):

  1. Computer Based Test
  2. Physical Ability Test (PAT)

Exam Pattern:

  • The question paper will be of objective type.
  • The test will include 100 questions in total.
