Sports Authority of Goa has released the Project Officer Recruitment 2019 notification on 21/11/2019. Notification is out for 10 posts such as Dy. Director (Sports FA), Project Officer and Assistant Project Officer on a contract basis. Interested candidates can apply through online before 01/12/2019. Job Profile:
1. Dy. Director (Sports FA):
- Would be the single point of contact for all Sports Functional Area related matters.
- Would coordinate with the Directors of Competition, Sports Federation and other stakeholders for gathering required information regarding the conduct of the sports event.
- Would be responsible for the conduct of the sports events at the Stadia. Would lead a Team of Venue Sports Officers deputed at each of the stadia, oversee the procurement of equipment, overlay installations and the entire sports competition.
2. Project Officer (Transport FA):
- Identification of transport requirements for the participants at the Games.
- Defining a Transport Operation Plan for the Games.
- Candidates should able to assist in engaging the Transport agencies following required codal formalities.
3. Project Officer (Communications FA):
- The profile includes management of various agencies that would be responsible to bring in sponsorship, carry out advertising and branding, public relations activities, broadcasting and so on.
- Would be responsible to develop and manage the Games Official Portal and Social Media Applications.
- Organize Press Conferences, interact with media on behalf of the NGOC, prepare and issue Press Releases and so on.
4. Project Officer (Volunteer FA):
- Developing a strategy for the engagement of volunteers at the Games.
- Putting in place a volunteer management system. Organising volunteer training.
- Assisting the Functional Area in volunteer kit purchases. Settlement of all-volunteer claims.
5. Project Officer (Accommodation FA):
- Candidates should chalk-out the modalities of managing accommodation arrangements with the Functional Area.
- Coordination with the Hotels / Agency and manage room inventory during Games Time.
6. Project Officer (Ceremonies FA):
- Candidates would be responsible for handling the management and operations of the Opening and Closing Ceremony, the Torch Run Event, Launch Event and any other ceremonies planned. Preparing an Event Flow with the agency, coordinating the execution, overseeing invitation distribution and so on.
- Candidates should able to assist in engaging the required agencies following required codal formalities, following up on approvals and so on. They would assist in assessing the quality of work executed and settlement of agencies dues.
7. Assistant Project Officer (Sports FA):
- Coordination with the Directors of Competition, Sports Federation and others for gathering required information about the sport for the conduct of the Event.
- Preparation of Technical Handbooks.
- Identification of Accommodation, Transport, Catering and other requirements for the sports discipline.
- Management of space allocation at the Stadia.
- Identification of details requirement of purchases of equipment, sourcing of overlay support and so on.
- Candidates would be entrusted with specific roles such as; spectator services, venue catering, management of Liaison Officers, Sports Entries, Sports Presentation and so on.

Educational Qualification:
1. Dy. Director (Sports FA):
- Candidates should be completed Master of Sports Management / Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent.
- Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in sports events and must have undertaken at least two Mega Sports Events in India or abroad in the relative job role.
2. Project Officer (Transport FA):
- Candidates should be completed Master of Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent.
- Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years experience in Sports Events and must have independently handled transport operations or a similar profile.
3. Project Officer (Communications FA):
- Candidates should be completed a Post-Graduate in Public Relations / Media Communication or a Master of Business Administration (MBA).
- Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years experience handling similar job profiles.
- Candidates should have excellent communication skills and flawless writing.
4. Project Officer (Volunteer FA):
- Candidates should be completed Master of Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent.
- Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in Sports Events and must have independently handled volunteer operations or a similar profile.
5. Project Officer (Accommodation FA):
- Candidates should be completed Master of Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent.
- Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years experience in Sports Events and must have independently handled accommodation operations or a similar profile. (OR)
- Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years experience in a reputed hotel, handling sales.
6. Project Officer (Ceremonies FA):
- Candidates should be completed Master of Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent.
- Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in Sports Events and must have independently handled the management of a large-scale ceremony or a similar profile. (OR)
- Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a reputed Event Management Company, handling event operations.
7. Assistant Project Officer (Sports FA):
- Candidates should be completed a Graduate in any stream.
- Candidates should have a minimum experience in at least one Sports Event in the relative job role.

The selection will be based on the Interview.
