Pay Scale:

• Technical Assistant, Scientific Assistant, Library Assistant-A: 44,900 – 1,42,400/-month.

Educational Qualification:

1. Technical Assistant:

Mechanical:

Candidates should be completed first class Diploma in Mechanical Engineering OR Equivalent.

Electronics:

Candidates should be completed first class Diploma in Electronics Engineering / Electronics & Communication Engineering / Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering / Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering
OR Equivalent.

Chemical:

Candidates should be completed first class Diploma in Chemical Engineering OR Equivalent.

Computer Science:

Candidates should be completed first class Diploma in Computer Science & Engineering OR Equivalent.

Automobile:

Candidates should be completed first Class Diploma in Automobile Engineering OR Equivalent.

Electrical:

Candidates should be completed first Class Diploma in Electrical Engineering OR Equivalent.

Cinematography / Photography:

Candidates should be completed first Class Diploma (minimum 3 years duration) in Cinematography / Photography from any Govt. recognized institutions.

2. Scientific Assistant:

Physics:

Candidates should be completed first Class B.Sc. Degree in Physics.

Desirable:

Proficiency in creative writing skills in English and Malayalam, ability to communicate in English, Hindi and Malayalam, good communication / presentation skills, skills to generate
multimedia contents using various soft tools and good flair for content generation
pertaining to Space Science & Technology outreach.

Mathematics:

Candidates should be completed first Class B.Sc. Degree in Mathematics.

Desirable:

Proficiency in Data Base Management Systems, Data analysis Tools / Techniques, basic knowledge in Computer OS and Application Software and good presentation & communication skill.

Chemistry:

Candidates should be completed first Class B.Sc. Degree in Chemistry.

3. Library Assistant-A:

• Candidate should be completed Graduation.
• Candidates should be completed first Class Master’s degree in Library Science / Library &
  Information Science or equivalent.

Selection Process:

The selection will be based on the:

1. Written Examination
2. Skill Test.

• The written test will be conducted testing the theoretical and practical knowledge of the candidate covering both the breadth and depth of the prescribed curriculum.
• The skill test will be purely on the basis and marks obtained in the skill test will not be considered for selection.
• The skill test will be evaluated on a 100 point scale with a minimum 60% for qualification.
