Defence Research and Development Organisation, Recruitment and Assessment Centre invites applications from Indian Nationals to fill 58 Scientists vacancies. Candidates can check vacancies in the below table.

Pay Scale:
Candidates finally selected for the apprenticeship training will be offered a stipend as given below.

Age limit:
Candidates should satisfy the following age limit as on 28/05/2022. Category wise age limits are given under.

Age Relaxation:
- Upto 10 years for Divyang/PwD candidates (Maximum age shall not exceed 56 years including age relaxation)
- The upper age limit is relaxable up to 5 years for serving Civilian Central Govt. employees working in posts which are in the same line or allied cadres and where a relationship could be established that the service already rendered in a particular post will be useful for the efficient discharge of the duties of the advertised posts.
- The upper age limit is relaxable for Ex-servicemen including Ex SSCOs/ECOs as per rules in vogue.
Educational Qualification:
1. Scientist F
- Candidates should have completed First Class Bachelor’s Degree / Master’s degree in Engineering or Technology in a relevant discipline from a recognised university or equivalent.
- Min 13 Years experience in the relevant field.
Applied Optics / Photonics / Optical Engg.
- Candidates should have completed First Class Bachelor’s Degree / Master’s degree in Engineering or Technology in a relevant discipline from a recognised university or equivalent. or
- First Class M.Sc./M.Sc. (Tech) in university or equivalent in Applied Optics / Photonics.
2. Scientist E
- Candidates should have completed First Class Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology in a relevant discipline from a recognised university or equivalent.
- Min 10 Years experience in the relevant field.
3. Scientist D
- Candidates should have completed First Class Bachelor’s Degree / Master’s Degree in Engineering or Technology in a relevant discipline from a recognised university or equivalent.
- Min 10 Years experience in the relevant field.
4. Scientist C
- Candidates should have completed First Class Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology in a relevant discipline from a recognised university or equivalent. or
- At least First Class Master’s Degree in a relevant field from a recognized University or Equivalent.
- Min 3 Years experience in the relevant field.

The selection will be based on the following

Candidates are required to pay a non-refundable non-transferable application fee only online. There is no application fee for SC / ST / Divyang and Women candidates.
- 100 – General / OBC / EWS male candidates.
