On 16th June 2020, Two Indian startups Stellapps and Zestmoney were featured in the List of Technology Pioneers of 2020, released by the World Economic Forum(WEF) which consist of pioneers addressing the global issues with advanced technologies.
Key Points:
i.The List includes the pioneers focusing on carbon capture, alternative meat, circular economies, food security and financial access.
ii.More than 25 industries in the list are led by females which is twice the industry average.
iii.The economies represented in the list includes Argentina, Austria, Brazil, China, Chile, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong SAR, India, Israel, Japan, Kenya, South Korea, Luxembourg, Singapore, Switzerland, Taiwan (China), Spain, United States(US) and the United Kingdom(UK).
iv.The firms in the list will be invited to participate in the workshops, events and discussions at the World Economic Forum for next two years.
ZestMoney:
i.ZestMoney uses Artificial Intelligence(AI) based lending platforms to make a difference in the financial service industry.
ii.ZestMoney is a platform that uses mobile technology and digital banking to support the consumers and provides flexible EMI and the credit can be repaid at any time without prepayment penalties.
Stellapps:
i.Bangalore based Stellapps, first of its kind in India working to digitalise the supply chain of the dairy from farm to consumer which is based on the Internet of Things(IoT) with focus on data acquisition and machine learning.
ii.SmartMoo is the IoT platform of Stellapps used for data collection through sensors in the milking systems.
