Dear Sir,
I wish to draw your kind attention to the growing nuisance by the loud speakers in our city. Recently, it has been seen that the religious places like the temples, mosques and the gurudwaras have started vying with one another to outdo the other in the use of loud speakers for their religious activities. One can hear the recitation of religious scriptures early in the morning and quite late in the night. The frequent ‘Jagrans’ do not let people have a restful sleep even an hour. Consequently, it has become difficult for the students to the concentrate in their studies and old people and office – goers to sleep peacefully.
I fail to understand how these people conveniently flout the rules and regulations in this direction. The sound pollution has indeed reached alarming proportions. I, therefore, request you kindly to take immediate steps so that these loud speakers are played at a low pitch of sound without distributing the peace and tranquility of the area.
