The government of Madhya Pradesh have organised Invest Madhya Pradesh – Global Investor Summit 2014, at  Indore, which is considered as the business capital of Madhya Pradesh. The global investor summit is a gateway to some of the pioneering national and international companies who are interested in tapping some of the most resourceful areas in the state of MP.
Delivering the inaugural address at the Summit, Prime Minister Modi said that following his recent visits to Japan, China and the US, “investment worth 100 billion dollars had applied for a visa to India and it is now upto the states to grab the opportunity”. He added that coordinated efforts between the Centre and State for development can give unimaginable results.
Chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan laid the foundation of Rs 2400-crore composite textile project of Trident Group and inaugurated Rs 1600-crore terry-towel unit of the company.
Thousands of delegates from across the world have been attending the summit in Indore. Participants include corporate leaders like Mukesh Ambani, Anil Ambani, Adi Godrej and Kumar Mangalam Birla.
