      i. Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act (FCRA) allows Indians to receive up to Rs 10 lakh in a year from relatives staying abroad without informing the authorities.The earlier limit was Rs 1 lakh.
      ii. The rules were amended by GoI in exercise of the powers conferred by section 48 of the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act, 2010 (42 of 2010).
      iii. There are another amendments in rule 6: if the amount exceeds, the individuals will have 90 days to inform the government instead of the 30 days period earlier.
