China’s President Xi Unveils ‘Four Comprehensives’ Slogans

Xi Jinping, the President of China has revealed his new political theory, comprising four slogans known as the “four comprehensives”. They are,

• Comprehensively build a moderately prosperous society
• Comprehensively deepen reform
• Comprehensively govern the nation according to law
• Comprehensively strictly govern the Party

Similar slogans have been put forward by his predecessors, such as

• Hu Jintao – Three Supremes
• Jiang Zemin – Three Represents
• Mao Zedong – Smash the Four Olds

• Xi assumed office as the President of People’s Republic of China on March 2013. 
• He was preceded by Hu Jintao. 
• Xi is popularly referred as “Paramount Leader”. 
• China’s Capital – Beijing. China’s Currency – Renminbi (Yuan).
