The World Bank has released a report named “Scaling the Heights: Social inclusion and sustainable development” on Himachal Pradesh.
The World Bank report appreciates the state for effectively balancing the economic growth with good human development outcomes and also for successfully reducing poverty four-fold in the last 15 years. The report notes that female child sex ratio, under-nutrition in children and an ageing population still remain issues of concern.
