1. Inculcate – मन में बैठाना
Meaning – instil (an idea, attitude, or habit) by persistent instruction.
Usage – “I tried to inculcate in my pupils an attitude of enquiry”
Synonyms – instil, implant, fix, ingrain, infuse, impress, imprint, introduce; engender, produce, generate, induce, inspire, promote, foster; hammer into, drum into, drive into, drill into, din into.
2. Innuendo
Meaning – an allusive or oblique remark or hint, typically a suggestive or disparaging one.
Usage – “she’s always making sly innuendoes”
Synonyms – insinuation, implication, hint, suggestion, intimation, overtone, undertone, whisper, allusion, nuance, reference, imputation, aspersion, slur.
3. Inebriation – मद्यपान
Meaning – drunkenness; intoxication.
Usage – “they were in an advanced state of inebriation”
Synonyms – intoxication, drunkenness, insobriety, tipsiness; informaltightness; rarecrapulence.
4. Irascible – चिड़चिड़ा
Meaning – having or showing a tendency to be easily angered.
Usage – “an irascible and difficult man”
Synonyms – irritable, quick-tempered, short-tempered, bad-tempered, ill-tempered, hot-tempered, thin-skinned, snappy, snappish, tetchy, testy, touchy, edgy, crabby, waspish, dyspeptic; surly, cross, crusty, crabbed, grouchy, crotchety, cantankerous.
5. Luster – चमक
Meaning – a gentle sheen or soft glow.
Usage – “the lustre of the Milky Way”
Synonyms – sheen, gloss, glossiness, shine, brightness, radiance, burnish, polish, patina, glow, gleam, glimmer, shimmer.
6. Muzzle
Meaning – the projecting part of the face, including the nose and mouth, of an animal such as a dog or horse.
Usage – “she patted the horse’s velvety muzzle”
Synonyms – snout, nose, mouth, jaws, maw.
7. Mellifluous – बेहतर बनानेवाला
Meaning – (of a sound) pleasingly smooth and musical to hear.
Usage – “her low mellifluous voice”
Synonyms – sweet-sounding, sweet-toned, dulcet, honeyed, mellow, soft, liquid, soothing, rich, smooth, euphonious, lyric, harmonious, tuneful, musical; raremellifluent.
8. Languid – निस्तेज
Meaning – (of a person, manner, or gesture) having or showing a disinclination for physical exertion or effort.
Usage – “his languid demeanour irritated her”
Synonyms – relaxed, unhurried, languorous, unenergetic, lacking in energy, slow, slow-moving; listless, lethargic, phlegmatic, torpid, sluggish, lazy, idle, slothful, inactive, indolent, lackadaisical, apathetic, indifferent, uninterested, impassive; informallaid back; rareotiose, pococurante, Laodicean.
9. Resonant – गुंजयमान
Meaning – (of sound) deep, clear, and continuing to sound or reverberate.
Usage – “a full-throated and resonant guffaw”
Synonyms – deep, low, sonorous, full, full-bodied, vibrant, rich, clear, ringing, orotund; bass, baritone, basso; loud, carrying, booming, thunderous, thundering; plangent; rarepear-shaped, canorous.
10. Snide – जाली
Meaning – derogatory or mocking in an indirect way.
Usage – “snide remarks about my mother”
