Indian Tennis Star Sania Mirza and America’s Bethanie Mattek-Sands Combo defeated Americans Abigail Spears and Raquel Kops-Jones 6-3, 6-3 to win the women’s doubles title of the Sydney International tennis tournament. It was Sania’s first doubles title of the season and 23rd of her career. This is the fifth victory for this pair and it will definitely boost their confidence ahead of the Australian Open, which is starting on January 19.
