The President of Yemen Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi resigned after the Houthi rebels battled their way into his presidential palace. The takeover by Houthi rebels pushes the country into a new phase of instability. Prime minister Khaled Bahah and the entire cabinet quit their posts a day after the Rebels announced the President had yielded to their demands for a much greater power sharing in Yemen’s political affairs.
