Zimbabwe’s President Robert Mugabe has been appointed as the new Chairman of the African Union. Mugabe replaced Mauritania’s Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz. In the meeting, Mugabe called the member countries to improve infrastructure and tackle climate change, conflict and Ebola, and with a familiar rallying cry that Africa’s wealth belongs to Africa and not “imperialists and colonialists”.
