Theme: Information and Communication Technology(ICT) entrepreneurship for social impact
The Day being celebrated each year on 17 May to mark the anniversary of the signature of the first International Telegraph Convention in 1865 which framed to the creation of the UN International Telecommunication Union (ITU)
Role of Information and Communication Technology:
- Ensuring Economic growth in a sustainable and inclusive manner from Start ups to SMEs
- Development of ICT enabled solutions and make impact in Global, Regional and National Economies
- Generate new jobs particularly for youth
Focus:
Making align ITU with ICT for young entrepreneurs and SME’s, Start ups and technology to make use of practical solutions ensuring the International Sustainable development particularly focus on SME’s from developing Countries

Aims: To raise awareness of Laws affecting Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and transgender violations and generate interest in the rights
- The date was chosen to commemorate the decision to remove homosexuality from the International Classification of Diseases of the World Health Organization (WHO) in 1990.

Founded by: World Hypertension League (WHL) which is consists of 85 national Hypertension Societies
Aim: To create the awareness of hypertension
