1 – Adage – लोकोक्ति

Meaning – old saying that has come to be accepted as truth over time.

Usage – “the old adage ‘out of sight out of mind’”

Synonyms – saying, maxim, axiom, proverb, aphorism, saw, dictum, precept, epigram, epigraph, motto, truism, platitude, cliché, commonplace; words of wisdom, pearls of wisdom; expression, phrase, formula, slogan, quotation; rareapophthegm, gnome.

2 – Pernicious – तेज़

Meaning – having a harmful effect, especially in a gradual or subtle way.

Usage – “the pernicious influences of the mass media”

3 – Meticulous – सूक्ष्म

Meaning – showing great attention to detail; very careful and precise.

5 – Contours – आकृति

Meaning – an outline representing or bounding the shape or form of something.

6 – Acuity – दृष्टि की तिक्षणता

Meaning – sharpness in relation to thought, vision, or hearing

7 – Variance – झगड़ा

Meaning – the fact or quality of being different, divergent, or inconsistent.

Usage – “her light tone was at variance with her sudden trembling”

8 – Wither – कुम्हलाना

Meaning – (of a plant) become dry and shrivelled.

9 – Womanish – स्रैण

Meaning – (of a man) effeminate; unmanly.
