1. Quibble – गर्मियों

Meaning – a slight objection or criticism.

Synonyms – protest, query, argument, exception, moan, grumble, grouse, cavil; informalniggle, gripe, beef, grouch, nitpicking.

Usage – the only quibble about this book is the price

2. Rapture – उत्साह

Meaning – a feeling of intense pleasure or joy.

Synonyms – ecstasy, bliss, euphoria, elation, exaltation, joy, joyfulness, joyousness, cloud nine, seventh heaven, transport, rhapsody, enchantment, delight, exhilaration, happiness, pleasure.

Usage – Leonora listened with rapture.

3. Ravage – नाश

Meaning – cause severe and extensive damage to.

Synonyms – lay waste, devastate, ruin, leave in ruins, destroy, wreak havoc on, leave desolate, level, raze, demolish, wipe out, wreck, damage; pillage, plunder, harry, maraud, ransack, sack, loot; literarydespoil, rape; archaicspoil, havoc; raredepredate, spoliate.

Usage – the hurricane ravaged southern Florida.

4. Shabby – जर्ज

Meaning – in poor condition through long use or lack of care.

Synonyms – run down, down at heel, scruffy, uncared-for, neglected, dilapidated, in disrepair, ramshackle, tumbledown; dingy, seedy, slummy, insalubrious, squalid, sordid, mean, wretched, miserable; informalcrummy, scuzzy, tacky, grungy, shambly, beat-up; informalgrotty.

Usage – a conscript in a shabby uniform saluted the car.

5. Sneer – उपहास

Meaning – a contemptuous or mocking smile, remark, or tone.

Synonyms – jibe, barb, jeer, taunt, insult, cutting remark, slight, affront, slur, insinuation;
scorn, scoffing, contempt, disdain, mockery, ridicule.

Usage – he acknowledged their presence with a condescending sneer.

6. Venom – विष

Meaning – a poisonous substance secreted by animals such as snakes, spiders, and scorpions and typically injected into prey or aggressors by biting or stinging.

Synonyms – poison, toxin; archaicbane; raretoxicant.

Usage – snake venoms have different effects.

7. Vouch – ज़मानत देना

Meaning – assert or confirm as a result of one’s own experience the truth or accuracy of (something).

Synonyms – attest to, confirm, affirm, verify, swear to, testify to, bear witness to, bear out, back up, support, corroborate, substantiate, prove, uphold, show the truth of, give substance to, give credence to, second, endorse, certify, warrant, validate.

Usage – the explosive used is of my own formulation, and I can vouch for its efficiency.

8. Usurp – हड़पना

Meaning – take (a position of power or importance) illegally or by force.

Synonyms – seize, take over, expropriate, take possession of, take, appropriate, steal, wrest, arrogate, commandeer, annex, assume.

Usage – Richard usurped the throne.

9. Taciturn – अल्पभाषी

Meaning – (of a person) reserved or uncommunicative in speech; saying little.

Synonyms – untalkative, uncommunicative, reticent, unforthcoming, quiet, unresponsive, secretive, silent, tight-lipped, close-mouthed, mute, dumb, inarticulate; reserved, withdrawn, introverted, retiring, media-shy, antisocial, unsociable, distant, aloof, stand-offish, cold, detached, dour, sullen.

Usage – after such gatherings she would be taciturn and morose.

10. Vicious – शातिर

Meaning – deliberately cruel or violent.

Synonyms – brutal, ferocious, savage, violent, dangerous, ruthless, remorseless, merciless, heartless, callous, cruel, harsh, cold-blooded, inhuman, fierce, barbarous, barbaric, brutish, bestial, bloodthirsty, bloody, fiendish, sadistic, monstrous, villainous, murderous, homicidal, heinous, atrocious, diabolical, terrible, dreadful, awful.

Usage – a vicious assault.
