1. Apropos – अनुरूप
Meaning – with reference to; concerning.
Synonyms – regarding, concerning, respecting, on the subject of, in the matter of, touching on, dealing with, connected with, in connection with, about, re; anent.
Usage – she remarked apropos of the initiative, ‘It’s not going to stop the abuse.
2. Aglow – दमकता हुआ
Meaning – glowing.
Usage – she was aglow with health
3. Shrike – एक प्रकार का पक्षी
Meaning – any of numerous usually largely gray or brownish oscine birds (family Laniidae) that have a hooked bill, feed chiefly on insects, and often impale their prey on thorns.
4. Barb – कंटिया
Meaning – a sharp projection near the end of an arrow, fish hook, or similar object, which is angled away from the main point so as to make extraction difficult.
Synonyms – spike, prong, point, projection, spur, thorn, needle, prickle, spine, quill, bristle, tine.
Usage – the barb on the hook cut his finger bad.

Meaning – ward off (a weapon or attack) with a countermove.

6. Dudgeon – अपकार
Meaning – a feeling of offence or deep resentment.
Synonyms – indignantly, resentfully, angrily, furiously, wrathfully; in a temper, in indignation, in anger, with resentment, with displeasure, having taken offence, having taken umbrage; informalin a huff, in a lather, in a paddy.
Usage – the manager walked out in high dudgeon.
7. Defunct – मृत
Meaning – no longer existing or functioning.
Synonyms – disused, no longer in use, unused, inoperative, non-functioning, unusable, obsolete; no longer in existence, discontinued; extinct, fossilized.
Usage – the now defunct Somerset & Dorset railway line.
8. Collusion – मिलीभगत
Meaning – secret or illegal cooperation or conspiracy in order to deceive others.
Synonyms – conspiracy, connivance, complicity, intrigue, plotting, secret understanding, collaboration, scheming.
Usage – “there has been collusion between the security forces and paramilitary groups.
9. Ruffian – बदमाश
Meaning – a violent person, especially one involved in crime.
Synonyms – thug, scoundrel, villain, rogue, rascal, lout, hooligan, hoodlum, vandal, delinquent, rowdy, bully boy, bully, brute; larrikin; informaltough, bruiser, heavy, gorilla, yahoo; informalrough, yob, yobbo, bovver boy, lager lout, chav, hoodie; informalkeelie, ned; informalhood, goon.
Usage – she was set upon by a gang of young ruffians.
10. Derisive – व्यंग्यात्मक
Meaning – expressing contempt or ridicule.
Synonyms – mocking, ridiculing, jeering, scoffing, jibing, pillorying, teasing, derisory, snide; disdainful, disparaging, denigratory, dismissive, slighting, detracting, contemptuous; sneering, scornful, taunting, insulting; caustic, scathing, sarcastic; satirical.
Usage – he gave a harsh, derisive laugh.
