1. Camouflage – छलावरण

Meaning – the disguising of military personnel, equipment, and installations by painting or covering them to make them blend in with their surroundings.

Synonyms – disguise, concealment.

Usage – on the trenches were pieces of turf which served for camouflage.

2. Cloak – लबादा

Meaning – a sleeveless outdoor overgarment that hangs loosely from the shoulders.

Synonyms – cape, mantle, robe.

Usage – he threw his cloak over his shoulders.

3. Steppes – मैदान

Meaning – a large area of flat unforested grassland in SE Europe or Siberia.

4. Withstand – सामना

Meaning – remain undamaged or unaffected by; resist.

Synonyms – resist, hold out against, stand firm against, stand/hold one’s ground against, bear up against, hold the line against, persevere in the face of, stand up to, fight, combat, grapple with, oppose, face, confront, defy, brave; weather, survive, live through, ride out, endure, take.

Usage – the structure had been designed to withstand winds of more than 100 mph.

5. Ensconce – विराजमान

Meaning – establish or settle (someone) in a comfortable, safe place.

Synonyms – settle, install, establish, park, shut, plant, lodge, position, seat, entrench, shelter, screen; nestle.

Usage – Agnes ensconced herself in their bedroom.

6. Blockade – नाकाबंदी

Meaning – an act or means of sealing off a place to prevent goods or people from entering or leaving.

Synonyms – siege, beleaguerment, encirclement; rareinvestment, besiegement.

Usage – they voted to lift the blockade of major railway junctions.

7. Bligh – नुक़सान

Meaning – a plant disease, typically one caused by fungi such as mildews, rusts, and smuts.

Synonyms – disease, canker, infestation, fungus, mildew, mould, rot, decay.

Usage – the vines suffered blight and disease.

8. Bedevil – सताना

Meaning – (of something bad) cause great and continual trouble to.

Synonyms – afflict, torment, beset, assail, beleaguer, plague, blight, harrow, rack, oppress, harry, curse, dog; harass, distress, trouble, worry, torture; frustrate, annoy, vex, irritate, pester, irk, exasperate, strain; informalaggravate.

Usage – projects like this are bedevilled by a shortage of cash.

9. Torment – यातना

Meaning – severe physical or mental suffering.

Synonyms – agony, suffering, torture, pain, anguish, misery, distress, affliction, trauma, wretchedness, woe; hell, purgatory; rareexcruciation.

Usage – their deaths have left both families in torment.

10. bootlegging – शराब की तस्करी

Meaning – make, distribute, or sell (alcoholic drink or a recording) illegally.

Synonyms – illegal, illicit, unlawful, unauthorized, unsanctioned, unlicensed, unofficial, pirated; bootlegged, contraband, smuggled, black-market.

Usage – bootlegging is rife in America.
