A controversy over the government’s proposed rules and procedures for the Right to Information (RTI) Act (1) the simple point that the goal right now should be to move on to a Duty to Publish rather than clean up the working of the RTI Act. The government says that the changes it has proposed were (2) by the previous UPA government and that it is merely taking forward the process started by its (3) .Certain of the proposed changes have caused alarm among RTI activists.
