Indian Islamic scholar, Dr Zakir A.Naik, has won the Saudi Arabia’s ”King Faisal Award 2015“ for his services to Islam. He is an international preacher of Islam.
The award comprises a prize amount of 7.5 Lakh Saudi Riyal. Along with him four others were chosen for the prestigious award for their services to Islam.

- Naik had done his MBBS from Nair College in Mumbai and later opted to preach Islam. He also conducts inter-religion seminars on international level.
- Naik, eshtablished Islamic Research Foundation (IRF), in February 1991. He runs an Islamic international school, a research centre & United Islamic Aid which provides scholarship to poor and destitute in Mumbai.
- Naik is referred as “Deedat plus“, a label given to him by Ahmed Deedat.
- He is ranked in the top 70 list of the ‘500 Most Influential Muslims in the World’ published by George Washington University in the year 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014.
- AWARDS:
- He also won ”Islamic Personality of the Year Award 2013“.
- Department of Islamic Development Malaysia conferred “Ma’al Hijrah Distinguished Personality award to Naik” in 2013.
