Andhra Pradesh Government signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Singapore for the development of a world-class capital city of Andhra Pradesh.
The MoU was signed by D. Sambasiva Rao, Chairman of Infrastructure Corporation of Andhra Pradesh and Teo Eng Cheong, Chief Executive Officer of International Enterprise Singapore in the presence of Second Minister for Trade and Industry in Singapore Government, S. Iswaran and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.
Under the MoU, Singapore will prepare a master plan for building the new capital of Andhra Pradesh in six months after that a detailed action plan will be worked out. The first phase of the development of the capital will be completed by 2019 and some Singapore companies might also be involved in capital construction.
