Greater Noida based Father Agnel School is awarded India’s greenest School in the Nation. Anil Agarwal founded Centre for Science and Environment have granted the award to the school as part of the Green School Programme promoted by the CSE.
The Top Emerges:
Out of 500 Schools that applied for the award 10 were shortlisted after a detailed assessment that includes various parameters Waste Management, Rainwater harvesting, Proportion of Green area in school, Healthy Food and Sanitation in the Campus.

- Queen’s Valley School– Delhi.
- Government senior Secondary School– Shimla
How the School Emerged as a Winner:
- The school kept away polythene uses from its campus, also avoided junk food and used Solar Panals.
- The schools were actively involved in tending Medicinal plants in the School Campus.
- The School’s Degradable waste is sent to Greater Noida Authority and paper wastes were recycled.
- The Water Consumption is under watch by the Authorities and they practiced good E waste management inside the School Campus.
