1. Myriad – असंख्य

Meaning – a countless or extremely great number of people or things.

Usage – “myriads of insects danced around the light above my head”

Synonyms – multitude, a large/great number/quantity, a lot, scores, quantities, mass, crowd, throng, host, droves, horde

Antonyms –calculable, limited, measurable

2. Malaise – अस्वस्थता

Meaning – a general feeling of discomfort, illness, or unease whose exact cause is difficult to identify.

Usage – “a general air of malaise”

Synonyms – unhappiness, restlessness, uneasiness, unease, melancholy, depression, despondency, dejection, disquiet, trouble, anxiety, anguish

Antonyms –good health, healthiness, well being

3. Capitulate – शर्त पर हथियार डाल देना

Meaning – cease to resist an opponent or an unwelcome demand; yield.

Usage – “the patriots had to capitulate to the enemy forces”

Synonyms – surrender, give in, yield, admit defeat, concede defeat, give up the struggle, submit, back down, climb down, give way, cave in, succumb, crumble

Antonyms – defend, fight

4. Stringent -कड़ी से कड़ी

Meaning – of regulations, requirements, or conditions) strict, precise, and exacting.

Usage – “stringent guidelines on air pollution”

Synonyms – strict, firm, rigid, rigorous, severe, harsh, tough, tight, exacting, demanding, inflexible, stiff, hard and fast, uncompromising, draconian, extreme

Antonyms –flexible, inexact, tolerant

5. – Repercussions – अप्रत्यक्ष परिणाम

Meaning – an unintended consequence of an event or action, especially an unwelcome one.

Usage – “the move would have grave repercussions for the entire region”

Synonyms – consequence, result, effect, outcome, by-product; reverberation, backlash, ripple, shock wave; aftermath, footprint, fallout.

6. – Crackdown – कड़ी कर्रवाई

Meaning – a series of severe measures to restrict undesirable or illegal people or behaviour.

Usage – “a crackdown on car crime”

Synonyms – clampdown, getting tough, severe/stern measures, repression, suppression, abolition, elimination, eradication, end, stop.

7. fatalities – भाग्यवशता

Meaning – an occurrence of death by accident, in war, or from disease.

Usage – “80 per cent of pedestrian fatalities occur in built-up areas”

Synonyms – death, casualty, mortality, victim, loss, dead person; dead etc.

8. convention – समझौता, सम्मेलन

Meaning – an agreement between states covering particular matters, especially one less formal than a treaty.

Usage – “the convention, signed by the six states bordering on the Black Sea, aims to prevent further pollution”

Synonyms – agreement, accord, protocol, compact, pact; treaty, concordat, entente; understanding, arrangement; contract, bargain, deal etc.

Antonyms – crankiness, creepiness, deviation, eccentricity etc.

9. fray – कलह

Meaning – (of a fabric, rope, or cord) unravel or become worn at the edge, typically through constant rubbing.

Usage – “cheap fabric soon frays”

synonyms – unravelling, unravelled, worn, well worn, threadbare, tattered, ragged, holey, moth-eaten, shabby; torn, ripped, split etc.

10. concrete – ठोस

Meaning – existing in a material or physical form; not abstract.
