1. Quenched – satisfied, संतुष्ट

Meaning – satisfy (one’s thirst) by drinking.

Usage – “firemen hauled on hoses in a desperate bid to quench the flames”

Synonyms – extinguish, put out, snuff out, smother, douse, dampen down etc.

2. Arduous – difficult, कठिन

Meaning – involving or requiring strenuous effort; difficult and tiring.

Usage – “an arduous journey”

Synonyms – onerous, taxing, difficult, hard, heavy, laborious, burdensome, strenuous, vigorous, back-breaking, stiff, uphill, relentless, Herculean; demanding, trying, tough, challenging, formidable, exacting; exhausting, wearying, fatiguing, tiring, punishing etc.

3. Apoplectic – angry, गुस्सेल

Meaning – overcome with anger; furious.

Usage – “Mark was apoplectic with rage at the decision”

Synonyms – : furious, enraged, overcome with anger, infuriated, in a temper, incensed, raging; incandescent, wrathful, fuming, ranting, raving, seething, frenzied, in a frenzy, beside oneself, outraged, in high dudgeon; informalmad etc.

4. Adjournment – postpone, स्थगन

Meaning – an act or period of adjourning or being adjourned.

Usage – “she sought an adjournment of the trial”

Synonyms – suspension, breaking off, discontinuation, interruption, postponement, rescheduling, deferment, deferral, delay, shelving, stay, pigeonholing, prorogation, dissolution etc.

5. Relentless – continuous, लगातार

Meaning – unceasingly intense.

Usage – “the relentless heat of the desert”

Synonyms – persistent, continuing, constant, continual, continuous, non-stop, lasting, never-ending, steady, uninterrupted, unabated, unabating, unbroken, interminable etc.

6. Reiterate – repeat, दोहराना

Meaning – say something again or a number of times, typically for emphasis or clarity.

Usage – “she reiterated that the government would remain steadfast in its support”

Synonyms – repeat, say again, restate, retell, recapitulate, go over (and over), iterate, rehearse, belabour, dwell on, harp on, hammer away at; informaldo over; archaicingeminate etc.

7. Robust – strong, सुदृढ़

Meaning – (of an object) sturdy in construction.

Usage – “a robust metal cabinet”

Synonyms – durable, resilient, tough, hard-wearing, long-lasting, well made; sturdy, strong, strongly made etc.

8. Jeopardy – risks, जोखिम

Meaning – danger of loss, harm, or failure.

Usage – “the whole peace process is in jeopardy”

Synonyms – danger, peril; at risk; endangerment, imperilment, insecurity; perilousness, riskiness, precariousness, uncertainty, instability, vulnerability, threat, menace etc.

9. Peasantry – farmer class, कृषक वर्ग

Meaning – A peasant is a member of a traditional class of farmers, either laborers or owners of small farms, especially in the Middle Ages under feudalism, or more generally, in any pre-industrial society.

10. Extol – praise, प्रंशसा

Meaning – praise enthusiastically.

Usage – “he extolled the virtues of the Russian peoples”

Synonyms – praise enthusiastically, go into raptures about/over, wax lyrical about, sing the praises of, praise to the skies, heap praise on, eulogize, rhapsodize over, rave about, enthuse about/over, gush about/over, throw bouquets at, express delight over, acclaim etc.
