Bhavishya Nidhi Awards 2025:
Overview: During the event, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya National Academy of Social Security (PDUNASS), the training arm of EPDFO, was conferred two Bhavishya Nidhi Awards 2025 for Best Achievement in Capacity Building, and Special Initiative – Reimagining Governance: Discourse for Excellence (RGDE).
- The awards recognize PDUNASS’s outstanding work in improving employee training and promoting good governance within EPFO.
Recipients: The Best Achievement in Capacity Building award was jointly received by Kumar Rohit, Director, PDUNASS, and Uttam Prakash, Regional Provident Fund Commissioner (RPFC-I) and Moderator, RGDE series.
- The Special Initiative – Reimagining Governance: Discourse for Excellence (RGDE) award was jointly received by Kumar Rohit, and Ankur P. Gupta, RPFC-I.
About the Award: Bhavishya Nidhi Awards are annual awards instituted by EPFO to recognize the outstanding performance among its offices and staff. It is conferred on the occasion of EPFO’s Foundation Day.
Recognition: The Best Achievement in Capacity Building award recognized PDUNASS for its excellent work in enhancing the skills of the EPFO.
Initiatives by PDUNASS:
Training: In 2024-25, the PDUNASS trained 155 new Assistant Provident Fund Commissioners (APFCs) in three batches, focusing on professional skills and personal development.
Modules: PDUNASS introduced two new learning modules such as “Design Thinking”, in collaboration with National Institute of Design (NID), Ahmedabad (Gujarat), and “Compassion in Governance”, with the Satyarthi Movement for Global Compassion, to promote creativity, empathy, and innovation.
Other initiatives: PDUNASS also launched “Book Review” and “Delicious Initiatives” programmes to encourage teamwork, curiosity, and lifelong learning.
Developer: The initiatives are developed by a team of RPFC-I officers, including Vijay Kumar, Ankur Gupta, Sanjay Kumar Rai, Sharique Tanwir, and Ram Anand.
Coffee Table Book: During the event, Union Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, MoL&E, launched a coffee table book titled “Reimagining Governance: Discourse for Excellence”, highlighting the journey and impact of the RGDE series.
Inauguration: He also inaugurated the EPFO exhibition, where PDUNASS displayed its key initiatives and publications, including booklets on RGDE, Assistant Provident Fund Commissioner (APFC) (Direct Recruit, DR) 2024 Training, Delicious Initiatives, Book Review, Rashtriya Karmayogi-Jan Seva Achievements, and materials from campuses in Faridabad (Haryana), Chennai (Tamil Nadu, TN), Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh, MP), Kolkata (West Bengal, WB), and Shillong (Meghalaya).
