1. Sumanâ€™s age was double that of Kareenaâ€™s 10 years ago. Ratio of the present ages of Kareena to Suman is 3 : 5. What will be Kareenaâ€™s age 5 years after?

Let the present ages of Kareena and Suman are 3x and 5x.
Then, 10 yrs ago, (5x-10) = 2 * (3x-10)
Solve, x = 10
So Kareena present age = 30, after 5 years = 35

2. 8 years ago, Bhanuâ€™s age was four greater than Raviâ€™s age that time. Also the ratio of Raviâ€™s age to Bhanuâ€™s 8 years after will be 6 : 7. Find the ratio of Raviâ€™s age to that of Bhanuâ€™s age 4 years after.

Ravi = x, Bhanu = y
8 years ago, (x-8) + 4 = (y-8) . This gives x â€“ y = -4

So required ratio = (16+4) : (20+4) = 20 : 24 = 5 : 6

3. Ratio of Rani’s age to Sheena’s age was 5 : 8 four years ago. Sheena’s present age is 6 years greater than Raniâ€™s age 6 years after. Find the ratio of the present ages of Sheena and Rani.

8. The sum of ages of Sonu and Monu is 60 at present. Also Sonuâ€™s age was five time that of Monu 6 years ago. What will be the age of Monu 5 years after?
