1. Astounding – incredible, अविश्वसनीय

Meaning – surprisingly impressive or notable.

Usage – “the summit offers astounding views”

Synonyms – amazing, astonishing, staggering, shocking, surprising, breathtaking, striking, impressive, bewildering, stunning, stupefying; unnerving, unsettling, disturbing, disquieting; awe-inspiring, remarkable, notable, noteworthy, extraordinary, outstanding, incredible, unbelievable, phenomenal etc.

2. prevaricate – lying, मिथ्या

Meaning – speak or act in an evasive way.

Usage – “he seemed to prevaricate when journalists asked pointed questions”

3. Obstinacy – stubborn, ज़िद

Meaning – the quality or condition of being obstinate; stubbornness.

Usage – “his reputation for obstinacy”

Synonyms – stubbornness, inflexibility, intransigence, intractability, intractableness, obduracy, mulishness, pig-headedness, bull-headedness, wilfulness, self-will, strong-mindedness, contrariness, perversity, perverseness, uncooperativeness, recalcitrance, refractoriness, unmanageableness, stiffness etc.

4. Unenviable – unwanted, अवांछनीय

Meaning – difficult, undesirable, or unpleasant.

Usage – “an unenviable reputation for drunkenness”

Synonyms – disagreeable, unpleasant, undesirable, difficult, nasty, horrible, painful, thankless; unwanted, uncoveted etc.

5. Palpable – clear,  स्पष्ठ रूप से

Meaning – able to be touched or felt.

Usage – “the palpable bump at the bridge of the nose”

Synonyms – tangible, touchable, noticeable, detectable, solid, concrete, material, substantial, real etc.

6. Relinquish – quit, छोड़ना

Meaning – voluntarily cease to keep or claim; give up.

Usage – “he relinquished his managerial role to become chief executive”

Synonyms – renounce, give up, part with, give away; hand over, turn over, lay down, let go of, waive, resign, abdicate, yield, cede, surrender etc.

7. Subdued – soft, हल्का

Meaning – (of a person or their manner) quiet and rather reflective or depressed.

Usage – “I felt strangely subdued as I drove home”

Synonyms – sombre, low-spirited, downcast, sad, dejected, depressed, low, gloomy, despondent, dispirited, disheartened, forlorn, woebegone; restrained, repressed, inactive, spiritless, lifeless, dull, unresponsive, withdrawn etc.

8. Deteriorating – worsen, बिगड़ना

Meaning – become progressively worse.

Usage – “relations between the countries had deteriorated sharply”

Synonyms – worsen, get worse, decline, be in decline, degenerate, decay; collapse, fail, fall, drop, sink, slump, slip, slide, go downhill, go backwards, go to rack and ruin etc.

9. Exigencies – emergency, संकटकाल

Meaning – an urgent need or demand.

Usage – “women worked long hours when the exigencies of the family economy demanded it”

Synonyms – need, demand, requirement, want; necessity, essential, requisite etc.

10. Opaque – unclear, अस्पष्ठ

Meaning – not able to be seen through; not transparent.

Usage – “bottles filled with a pale opaque liquid”

Synonyms – non-transparent, cloudy, filmy, blurred, smeared, hazy, misty, dirty, dingy, muddy, muddied, grimy, smeary etc.
