Now [(3/4)*x – (3/4)*y] / [(1/4)*x + (3/4)*y] = 9/4
Take 1/4 common and cancel, so
3(xy)/(x+3y) = 9/4
Solve, y = (1/13)* x
So 1/13 of original mixture removed.Incorrect
