West Bengal govt launches exit app for stranded people of other statesWest Bengal govt launches exit app new

On May 5, 2020, The West Bengal (WB) state Home Secretary, Alapan Bandopadhyay announced that the WB Government (govt) launched an “exit app” for people of other states who are stranded in the state due to the lockdown and want to return to their native place.
Key Points:
i.About Exit app: The app can be downloaded from the state government’s ‘Egiye Bangla’ website.
ii.Persons willing to go back to their native states can apply online through this ‘Exit app’ and permission for the same will be practically automatic and extremely easy.
iii.The home secretary also requested the nodal officers of all neighbouring states to ease the exit of such people for reaching their native places.

Government hikes MSP for minor forest produce of 49 items

As per the order issued by Tribal Affairs Ministry, The Minimum Support Price(MSP) for Minor Forest Produce(MFP) of 49 items was raised in view of circumstances arising out of COVID 19, which also stated that the MSP for MFPs is revised once in every 3 years by the Pricing Cell constituted under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs. The increase across various items of MFP ranges from 16 % to 66%.
