On 18th July 2020, Yogi Adiytyanath, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh over a video conference launched “Navin Rojgar Chhatri Yojana”, an all-round development scheme for the Scheduled Castes(SC) and to provide financial assistant to support people to become self-dependent.
Navin Rojgar Chhatri Yojana:
Target:
The scheme targets to benefit around 7.5 lakh families in 2020-2021.
Activities:
i.He also transferred financial assistance to 1,77,491beneficiaries under the new employment scheme and interacted with the beneficiaries from Rae Bareli, Gorakhpur, Basti, Meerut, Azamgarh and Moradabad districts over a virtual platform.
ii.The beneficiaries informed that the provided financial assistance will be used for setting up of grocery shops, laundry and dry cleansing, cyber cafe and tent house.
iii.So far the scheme has connected around 1,77,491 beneficiaries due to COVID-19 pandemic.
iv.He transferred Rs.17.42 crore, as subsidy to around 3,484 people under the ”Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Swarojgar Yojana”.
v.He asked banks to provide loans to provide financial support to the people which would support in achieving around 36000 beneficiaries.
