On 8th May 2020, Chief Minister Of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath launched the ‘Pravasi Raahat Mitra’ mobile application developed by the state revenue department in collaboration with United Nation(UN) Development Program to provide support for the migrant workers of Uttar Pradesh in other states to access the advantages of the government schemes.Key Points:
i.The ‘Pravasi Raahat Mitra’ helps the migrants to monitor their health and provide the requirements like job and livelihood related to their skills.
ii.The app will collect the basic information such as name, educational qualification, temporary and permanent address, bank account details, Corona-related screening status and experience as data from the migrant citizens and will have full details of the people staying in the shelter center and the people who reached their homes from other states.
iii.The app will also record the status of distribution of ration kits to migrant citizens.
iv.To avoid duplication the data collection is based on the unique mobile number and the app is enabled to work both online and offline.
v.The collected data through the application will be installed to the state-based Integrated Information Management System.
