On November 2, 2020 The new building of Bhimsen Adarsha Higher Secondary School, Nawalpur District, Nepal constructed with the Government of India’s financial assistance of NRs(Nepalese Rupees) 25.83 million, under the Nepal-Bharat Maitri Development Cooperation has been virtually inaugurated. The project was implemented by the District Coordination Committee(DCC), Nawalparasi, Nepal.
E-Inauguration
The new building was jointly inaugurated by the representatives of the Embassy of India, Kathmandu, District Coordination Committee, School Management Committee and local representatives, including students and faculty through video-conferencing.
Key Info
i.The new school building was implemented under the long standing High Impact Community Development Projects(Formerly known as Small Development Projects).
ii.This is another example of strong cooperation between India and Nepal in the education sector.
iii.It complements the efforts of the Nepal Government to enhance the physical infrastructure for learning, especially in public schools.
About the new school building:
i.The new building of Bhimsen Adarsha Higher Secondary School is located in Devchuli-07 of Nawalpur District, Nepal.
ii.It was established in 1969 and offers classes till +2. More than 55% of the students of the school are girls.
iii.It has 3 floors and includes 16 classrooms, labs, administration & staff rooms, meeting hall, canteen, medical room and sanitation facilities.
