Tennis player Roger Federer Tops the list for the first time with estimated earnings 106.3 million USD. He placed 5th in the 2019 list with the estimated earnings of 95 million USD.
Key Points:
i.Lionel Messi who topped the 2019 list with the estimated earnings of 109 million USD dropped to 3rd rank in 2020 list with 104 million USD.
ii.Cristiano Ronaldo stands 2nd with the estimated value of 105 million USD whose earnings were 106 million USD in 2019 and Neymar stands 4th with 95.5 million USD.
iii.The basketball players occupied the 35 positions followed by American footballers with 31 positions in which no one ranked higher than Tom Brady, 6 times Super Bowl Champion who ranked 25.
iv.Soccer becomes the next most represented sport with 14 players followed by 6 tennis players, 5 players of boxing and mixed martial arts(MMA), 4 golfers, 3 motor racers, one cricketer and baseballer.
v.Naomi Osaka became the highest paid female athlete ranking 29 overtaking Serena Williams who ranks 33. Williams topped the ranking in 2017 and 2019.In 2018 no women entered the list.
