SBI Clerk Mains 2019: Last Minute Tips

As all of you know it very well that this year SBI Clerk mains is scheduled on 10th of August. This is the exam for which all of you wait vigorously for the whole year. You have already shown your capability by clearing its preliminary exam. Now you are just one step away to get this job. So, here we are to discuss the last-minute tips for SBI Clerk Mains 2019.

Phase-II: Main Examination: The structure of the main examination (online objective type) would be as follows :

Note- The above table is for giving you the idea for the pattern only. So you must be ready to face any section at first.

There will be negative marks for wrong answers in the Objective tests. No sectional cut off in the Mains. Those who qualify the Mains will be placed according to their aggregate marks in descending order in respective states & categories. The Marks obtained in Prelims will not be added in the final merit list. Only the marks obtained in Mains will be added to prepare the final merit list.

Do’s:- 

General/ Financial Awareness– This is one of the most important sections in the exam which can help you to fetch a good score in less time. You should prepare all the current affairs of the last six months, budget, capsule, static awareness, financial awareness and banking awareness, etc. Don’t use guesswork in this section. Mark those answers in which you are sure. 

English–First of all, you should attempt all those questions in which you are good or which take less time like Fill in the blanks, Spotting Error, Cloze Test, Para jumble, synonyms and antonyms of Reading Comprehension, etc. At last, you can attempt the remaining questions of Reading Comprehension. But, If you are good in Reading Comprehension then you can also attempt it first and the rest questions afterward.

Quantitative Aptitude– In this section, you should attempt quadratic equation, number series, Simplification and DI in a first go then try to attempt the miscellaneous Questions. Do practice a lot to maintain good speed in this section. Revise cubes, squares and some basic tricks that you have learned. Take an idea from the previous year papers before appearing in the exam.

Reasoning– In this section, what you have to do is to attempt inequality first as direct Questions are asked after that jump into blood relationship and direction Questions. Then attempt seating arrangement and after that try to attempt those puzzles first which have two parameters then go for the other puzzles at last. Don’t stick anywhere if you are not able to solve any puzzle then take it easy and without wasting your time just move to other questions. Patience and smart work are the keys in this section to score well. 

Eat healthy food, do exercise, keep calm and take a good sleep without any stress. Do not forget to take a print of your admit card and affix your passport size photograph on it. Also, take your original id as well as a photocopy of it with you before going to the exam.

Don’t:-

Don’t do this silly mistake by setting your mind with some assumptions regarding cut-offs, attempts, and the paper pattern by comparing from the past years’ trends. Do not stick to a single question if you are not able to solve it. Avoid anything that can stress you, keep calm and stay focused.
