National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) Investor Protection Fund Trust (NSE IPFT) and Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) have jointly developed and launched Platform for Investor Education (PIE), an online investor education resource centre.
The PIE was launched in a virtual meet attended by Mr. Nagendraa Parakh, Executive Director of SEBI, Mr. Vikram Limaye MD & CEO of NSE and Professor Rishikesha T Krishnan, Director of IIM Bangalore.
Platform for Investor Education (PIE):
i.PIE will serve as a unique platform to impart investor education in a simpler way through video, audio and other digital media formats.
ii.The platform would consist of four learning modules comprising videos, audios, podcasts, deep-dives and blog posts.
iii.It will present the content using Animation and Data Visualization Technology to actively engage the potential investors.
iv.The platform will provide an option to access the audio content in multiple languages to cater to a larger set of audience.
v.The entire content has been developed with involvement from top not experts in the field and experienced faculty making the content relevant to the entire spectrum of investors from potential first time investors to experienced investors.

i.NSE IPFT was set up under section 370 of the Companies Act, with the objective of creating and managing a fund to be used for promoting investor education,awareness and undertaking research activities related to securities market.
