India and Mongolia on Sunday signed 14 agreements, including an air services agreement and in cyber security, as Prime Minister Narendra Modi held talks with his Mongolian counterpart Chimed Saikhanbileg
After a three-day successful trip in China, PM Narendra Modi has reached Mongolia. On Sunday, the two countries signed 14 agreements.
The two Prime Ministers witnessed the signing of the following bilateral agreements:
1- Agreement between the two governments on Transfer of Sentenced Prisoners.
2- Agreement between the two governments on Air services.
3- Joint statement for India-Mongolia strategic partnership.
4- Agreement between the two governments on cooperation in the field of animal health and dairy.
5- MoU on cooperation in the field of traditional systems or medicine and homeopathy.
6- MoU between the Ministry of Home Affairs of the Republic of India and the Ministry of Justice of Mongolia for enhancing cooperation in border guarding, Policing and surveillance.
7- Programme of cooperation in the field of culture for the Years 2015-2018.
8- MoU on the establishment of cyber security training centre in the Ministry of Defence of Mongolia.
9- MoU between the foreign service institute between the external affairs ministries of both the governments.
10- MoU on cooperation on foreign affairs.
11- MoU on cooperation in the field of renewable energy.
12- MoU for Cooperation between the National Security Council of the Republic of India and the National Security Council of Mongolia.
13- MoU on the establishment of India-Mongolia Friendship Secondary School in Mongolia.
14- MoU between Tata Memorial Centre of India and National Cancer Center of Mongolia for Gifting of Bhabhatron-II Terecobalt Unit along with a radiotherapy simulator.
$1-billion credit line to Mongolia :
Besides the agreements signed, India will provide a Line of Credit of $1 billion to support expansion of Mongolia’s economic capacity and infrastructure.
