On 3rd June 2020, The Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Girish Chandra Murmu launched the first version of the Salary Tracker Mobile app “MeraVetan” developed by the National Informatics Centre(NIC) – J&K State Centre on the Android Platform to provide end to end computerization of JK Payment System(JKPaySys) application, at the Raj Bhavan

MeraVetan:
i.The Application will be available on the JKPaySys main page.

ii.The Employees have to enter their Centralised Personnel Information System(CPIS) ID, date of Birth and General Provident Fund(GPF)/New Pension Scheme(NPS) subscription number in the app after the installation and for any missing data the employees can obtain it from their Drawing and Disbursing Officers(DDOs).
Benefits of MeraVetan:
i.The Government employees and the officials posted in remote and rural areas with no access to DDO can access their salary and other details.
ii.The information such as Pay Scale, GPF/NPS subscription, Allowances, Deductions, GPF/NPS statement, Income Tax Statement, State Life Insurance(SLI) statement etc will be provided in the app.
iii.The employees can access the information on their salary after the salary bill is drawn.
iv.This will support the DDO in reducing the workload by allowing the employee to get their salary slip.
Future implementations:
i.The Upgraded version 2 of MeraVetan is planned, to support the calculation of income tax and generation of Form 16.
ii.A similar App to the MeraVetan may be developed for the pre and post Matric scholarship and integrated social security schemes to support the beneficiaries to track the scholarship and pensions under the Social Welfare department.
