Satya Nadella, CEO of Microsoft, has emerged as the Top Paid CEO in the US, in a survey conducted recently. The Indian Origin CEO of Microsoft, Satya Nadella, gets a pay package of $84.3 million (Rs. 525 crore) a year from the technology giant, Microsoft.
The Equilar 100 CEO Pay Study, A study that analysis the Salaries of CEO’s at the 100 Largest publc Sector US Companies in terms of revenue, has placed Satya Nadella at the first place. Last year, in the survey, Oracle’s Larry Ellison topped the list. This year he has been pushed to the second position by Satya Nadella. CEO of PepsiCo, Indra Nooyi, who is also of Indian Origin, is ranked 19th with $19.08 million.
Equilar said that this year, the median pay for 100 CEOs was $14.3 Million, which has seen a rise of 5 Percent from the last year. While the Base salaries for the top 100 CEOs ranged from $7.1 Million for Rupert Murdoch at 21st Century Fox to nil for Richard Fairbank at Capital One.
