On December 10, 2019, DuPont de Nemours,Inc (commonly known as DuPont), an American company with technology-based materials, ingredients and solutions has partnered with AGNIi (Accelerated Growth of New India’s Innovations), an initiative of the office of the Principal Scientific Advisor to the Government of India(GoI), executed by Invest India (the national investment promotion and facilitation agency of India), to support the development of sustainable innovations and technologies across industries.
Key Points:
i.This tie-up will build up the implementation process, testing and scale-up of innovations for specialty products across industries like mobility, safety, electronics, water, health and nutrition & also help to identify relevant innovation and application development opportunities to meet the critical needs of Indian industry.
ii.With the help of AGNIi platform, DuPont can get access to institutes, independent innovators and skilled workforce in research labs across India, so that the expertise and solutions can be brought rapidly to the market.
About AGNIi:
It is a nation-wide initiative of Government of India (GoI) aimed at supporting the ongoing efforts to boost the innovation ecosystem by connecting innovators across industry, and helping commercialize innovative solutions.
It provides a platform for innovators to scale up their products by creating pathways for licensing, technology transfer and market access. However, AGNIi is not a funding agency and does not provide direct financial support to innovators.
