On 5th May 2020, United States President Donald Trump nominated senior Indian American diplomat Manisha Singh, Assistant Secretary of State for Economic and Business Affairs at the State department as his envoy to the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development(OECD) with an Ambassador rank.Key Points:

ii.Manisha Singh served as the acting secretary of Economic Growth, Energy and the Environment and the deputy assistant secretary in the Bureau of Economic, Energy and Business Affairs of the State Department.
iii.She served as the Deputy Chief Counsel to the United States Senate Foreign Relations Committee
iv.She got her Masters in Law(LLM) in International Legal Studies from the American University Washington College of Law, a Juris Doctor(JD) from the University of Florida College of Law and BA from the University of Miami and She was a student of The University of Leiden Law School in the Netherlands.
