The Aditya-L1 Support Cell (AL1SC), the Community service centre, was established at the Aryabhatta Research Institute of Observational Sciences (ARIES) transit campus in Haldwani, Uttarakhand,as a part of the efforts of Indian Researchers to create a skilled community of solar scientists to bring & Store the data from the Aditya L1, the first Solar Mission of India.
- Aditya-L1 Support Cell (AL1SC), a joint initiative Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and ARIES will produce the trained manpower.
- The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the establishment of the AL1SC at ARIES was signed between ARIES and ISRO in 2021.
About AL1SC:
i.AL1SC will integrate all the data from the various instruments onboard Aditya L1 over a single web-based interface.
ii.The AL1SC will be a one-stop online platform for students, faculty and researchers from college, universities and institutions in India to get free access to a sample of processed scientific data pertaining to the Sun.
iii.All the data of ALISC will be hosted at the Indian Space Science Data Centre (ISSDC) of ISRO.
Aditya-L1 mission:
- The Aditya-L1 mission is led by the ISRO with an aim to set up a space-based observatory to track the sun.
- The mission is expected to be launched in 2022.

On March 17, 2021, Data Patterns India Pvt Ltd handed over the Indigenously developed ‘Checkout System’ to the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) for its ‘Gaganyaan’ Mission (India’s 1st Human Space Flight Programme) at Chennai.
A checkout system is used for performing health checks on all cable harness assemblies used in the crew module of ‘Gaganyaan’ Mission.
