The state government of Rajasthan is observing child rights week from November 14 to 20, 2020 through skill development activities, awareness programmes and new welfare schemes. The initiatives were taken from the Nehru Child Protection Fund, which was announced in the 2020-21 State Budget. The week was virtually inaugurated by Rajasthan Chief Minister (CM) Ashok Gehlot.
- It should be noted that Rajasthan government is making an effective intervention to prevent crimes against children and ensure that there should be no incident of child labour or child marriage.
Launch of two New Schemes:
During the week the CM launched Vaatsalya Yojana and Samarth Yojana for orphan and destitute children. He also inaugurated a skill development and counselling centre for children in Jodhpur.
During the programme, CM also released a booklet having guidelines for the implementation of “Vatsalya Yojana” and “Samarth Yojana” for the benefit of children in the state.

ii.Raghu Sharma, Health Minister of Rajasthan launched ‘IMPACT’(Integrated System for Monitoring of PCPNDT Act) mobile application(app) to ease the monitoring of action taken under the Pre-Conception and Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques(PCPNDT) Act, 1994 and the inspection activities. It was developed by the National Informatics Centre (NIC).
