Asian Development Bank accorded $500 million to build bridge over India’s longest river bridge is in Bihar having distance of 9.8 km road
Purpose: Transport connection between the Northern and Southern parts of the state and the neighbour country like Nepal
Benefits of the Bridge:
- It will help in the transportation services between living areas to job location and other areas
- It will be benefitted to middle sector people to commute to the state Capital Patna and other southern parts
- Bridge will suits both channels of the Ganga River
- Serve as an alternate route to the existing Ganga Bridge

ADB loan of $500 million and $900,000 has been accorded to improve bridge operational activities and management
State government will provide reinforcement which is equivalent to $215 million
The project is expected to be completed by December, 2020
The height and length of the bridge has been designed to minimize impacts on the river itself and to withstand climate related disasters
