On 13th December 2023, Mumbai (Maharashtra) based Hurun India launched the inaugural edition of Hurun India Top 100 Under 30 List (2023), which features 100 Indian entrepreneurs of age 30 or younger (sorted by age).
- Kaivalya Vohra(21) and Aadit Palicha(22) the co-founders of Zepto, a grocery delivery platform, were the youngest entrepreneurs on the 2023 list.
- Devanshi Kejriwal(27), Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer (CPO) of Skillmatics is the youngest woman entrepreneur on the list.
Other Noted entries of the 2023 list:
i.Neelakantha Bhanu Prakash(24), World’s Fastest human Calculator, founder of Bhanzu. In 2020, He won India’s first gold at the Mental Calculation World Championship.
ii,Anirudh Sharma(25), Rahul Rawat(24)and Tanveer Ahmed(25) co-founders of Digantara, a air and space surveillance company.
Highlights of the 2023 List:
i.The average age of the founders in the list is 28 and 5 entrepreneurs also feature in the Hurun India Rich list.
ii.Women in the list:
The list features only 5 women entrepreneurs(including Devanshi Kejriwal). The other 4 are,
- Neetu Yadav(28) founder of Animall
- Vrushali Prasade(29) co-Founder & Chief Technology Officer(CTO) of Pixis
- Sonakshi Nathani (30) Co-founder of Bikayi
- Sai Gole (30) Co-founder of Bharat Agri (formerly known as LeanAgri)
iii.Industry Distribution:
SaaS (software as a service) emerged as the primary contributor to the List, with 19 entrepreneurs, followed by Fintech and Edtech, with 11 entities each.
- 8 entries on the list were are the associated with Space Technology companies.
iv.Ranking of Residence Cities:
The 100 entrepreneurs featured on the list hails from 51 cities across India.
- Bengaluru(Karnataka) tops the list of residence cities with 10 entrepreneurs followed by Mumbai with 9 and New Delhi (Delhi) with 8.
- Chennai (Tamil Nadu) is ranked 4th with 5 entries; and Kolkata(West Bengal); Pune(Maharashtra) and Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh) are ranked 5th with 3 each.
