AirlineRatings.com has released the ranking of the World’s safest airlines and also the budget carriers. The ranking was based on specific safety criteria and out of of 449 airlines, Qantas Airlines of Australia ranked first. Qantas has a fatality-free record in the jet era. The Australian Airlines claimed the top spot for the second consecutive time.
Other Safe Airlines in the top 10 were Air New Zealand, British Airways, Cathay Pacific, Emirates. etc. Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), was recognized as one of the top 10 safest airlines in the world.
The rating system is based on the several factors related to audits from the Federal Aviation Administration and International Civil Aviation Organization, government audits and the airline’s fatality record.
