Sri Lankan batsman Kumar Sangakkara slams his fourth consecutive ton in the World Cup 2015 series and he also become the first batsman to score 4 consecutive centuries in One Day Internationals.  Sangakkara has achieved this feat in a World Cup Pool A match against Scotland (124 runs).

Sangakkara’s Century spree in the World Cup 2015 includes,

  • 105 – Bangladesh
  • 117 – England  
  • 104 – Australia

Sangakkara also becomes the first batsman to score 4 centuries in a single world cup. He is in second position with Ricky Ponting with the overall tons of 5 in World Cup. Sachin Tendulkar stands first with 6 centuries in World Cup. This century against Scotland is Sangakkara’s 25th ODI century.
