On June 3, 2020, Shri Virendra Nath Datt has taken over the additional charge as chairman and managing director (CMD) of National Fertilizers Limited (NFL).He has been director (marketing) of the company since October 2018.
Datt replaces Shri Manoj Mishra as CMD, who represents the post form 2015-2020.
Key Points:
i.Prior to NFL, Shri Datt was Executive Director (Corporate Strategy, Planning & Advocacy) with GAIL (India) Limited (formerly known as Gas Authority of India Limited). He was also on the board of Mahanagar Gas Ltd., Mumbai (Maharashtra).
ii.Datt started his career with ONGC (Oil and Natural Gas Corporation ) in 1985 and then shifted to GAIL in 1995. He has vast experience of more than 35 years in the Natural Gas industry in India & handled key assignments in the Natural Gas business including import & marketing of regasified LNG in India, pooling of gas price for urea plants and numerous policy initiatives of the Government.
