Veteran cinematographer of South India, Aloysius Vincent passed away at the age of 86. He was born in 1926 in Kozhikode.  He was fondly addressed by the film fraternity as ‘Vincent Master’. He worked as a cinematographer in more than 150 films in different languages. He worked on several blockbuster Telugu movies like Annamayya, Allari Priyudu,Nari Nari Naduma Murari, Adavi Ramudu, Bhaktha Prahlada, etc.
In 2003, Indian Society of Cinematographers conferred him an honorary membership. He was awarded with Filmfare Best Cinematographer Award for Prem Nagar in 1974.
